What a session actually looks like
Artist arrives, finds their contact, sets up the table, chair and screen.
Work starts. Customers notice. Most watch before they speak.
Conversations, questions, sometimes a commission or a sale.
Packed down. Shop back to normal. We follow up with both sides.
Questions
What does it cost the shop?
Nothing during launch in Nottingham. Longer term we intend to charge venues for the artist; anyone hosting now is helping us prove it works and won't be surprised by a bill.
Who insures the session?
We do. Public liability cover is in place for every booking and we'll send the certificate to the shop before the day.
Do artists get paid by the shop?
Not during launch. Artists sell their own work and take their own commissions.
How big is the footprint?
A small table, a chair and a socket. Roughly one square metre plus room to stand.
Can we do it in a market or a shopping centre?
Yes. Anywhere with power, footfall and somewhere an artist can sit without being in the way.
